News! Big Energy Saving Network - Frontline Workers Training

FREE Frontline Workers Training - available Oct ’14- March ‘15

Do you work with people who are on low incomes, in fuel poverty or struggling to keep their home warm enough during winter?

Would you like to be able to help them:

  • Stay warm in their home?
  • Stay healthy in cold weather?
  • Keep their bills affordable?

Marches Energy Agency has funding from the Department for Energy and Climate Change to offer free training sessions for Frontline Workers this winter. These sessions will equip you to signpost people, and assist them yourself, to:

  • Switch energy supplier and tariff
  • Understand and change their payment method for energy bills
  • Tackle fuel debt
  • Access grants to improve the energy efficiency of their homes
  • Make no and low-cost energy efficiency changes to their home
  • Make simple behavioural changes to use less energy and keep warm and healthy

If your work regularly brings you into contact with householders, either in their own homes or in other settings, then this training is for you. You might work for one of the following types of organisation (although this list is not exhaustive): local authority, housing association, NHS, third sector organisations (e.g.: Citizens Advice Bureau, Age UK etc), SureStart Centres.
