If you haven't already heard, Bolsover District Council now have their own TV channel! It is aired every two weeks to show what has been going on in the district and what's to come.

The Channel is not just about what Bolsover District Council are doing; but about the district and it's communities. It is a great way to showcase what is happening, what community groups are available for people to join, tourist attractions on offer and what businesses are doing and what events are taking place. 

The latest programme on Bolsover TV has now gone live. In this episode we look at a Whitwell diner that offers visitors a bistro experience, the redevelopment of the former Coalite site, the second phase of the Bolsover Partnership's Business Growth Fund, how a new leisure facility in Creswell has took a step closer to becoming reality and a round up of events across the upcoming weeks.

The new role of Service Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of a diverse range of services and projects for communities, third sector organisations and other partners. In addition, they will have responsibility for managing and developing a team of staff and building relationships with stakeholders. 

The successful candidate will have an appetite for innovation and achieving excellence within a highly productive organisation and have strong organisational, communication and ICT skills.

News! One Million Mentors

1MM are looking for people to carry out free training and volunteer to mentor young people between the ages of 14-25. 

1MM aim is to ensure that every young person in the country has access to a trained mentor as they transition into adulthood. We believe that facilitating and investigating in mentors will help to address the skills gap agenda and improve social cohesion. 

To become a 1MM, you need to be 25 or over. You need to be either a professional/retired professional, be prepared to give one hour, per month for twelve months and complete our mandatory online training.

The grass requires a weekly cut for the bowlers and we would like to plant lots of flowers to really brighten up the place. We also have a large poly-tunnel and we would love to set up a community gardening project.
